London is such a magical place to spend the holidays. Everything about the city is festive! It’s almost impossible not to get into the Christmas Spirit while walking the streets of London during this time of year. I put together a list of some of the best things to do during Christmas, and I am sure you will enjoy them all!
Harrods
Harrods is one of my favorite department stores in the world, and it is completely transformed during Christmas time. The décor is magical, and the shopping is fantastic, especially if you need to find someone the perfect gift. After you finish shopping, stop at Laduree on the ground floor for High Tea and maybe a few macaroons.
Kensington Palace
Kensington Palace – is decorated beautifully with Christmas trees and lights during the holiday season. I would suggest putting on your warmest coat, grabbing a hot cocoa, and strolling through the Kensington Palace garden with your loved ones. You will not be disappointed.
Annabel’s
Annabel’s – is a member-only club that is famous for its beautifully decorated interior and exclusive ambiance. During the holidays Annabel’s has some of the best decorations in London. The club is home to renowned restaurants and bars, along with a fabulous Christmas market (new this year). You could spend the entire day here. I would suggest Dinner at the new Italian restaurant – Matteo’s, followed by drinks and dancing at the Jungle Bar and Night Club. They make the best Nedi Martinis!
Tower of London Ice Rink
If you like to ice skate, The Tower of London Ice Rink is the place to go in London. Located in the Dry Moat, this festive rink has breathtaking views of the Tower of London and the River Thames. There are food and drink booths to browse after you finish skating! This is the perfect family activity.
Rooftop Winter Cinema at The Berkeley
Enjoy mulled wine, mince pies, and seasonal plates at this festive rooftop cinema. There are two movie showings every night, at 5.15 pm and 7.45 pm (the late showing is adults only). Cozy blankets, hot water bottles and heaters are provided!
Coppa Club
During the holiday season, Coppa Club transforms its space into a winter wonderland. Enjoy a cocktail in one of their festive (heated) igloos with a perfect view of the Tower Bridge and the Shard. The igloos are decorated with sparkly lights, fluffy blankets, and Christmas décor. These igloos fill up fast, so make sure to call ahead to reserve a spot for your crew.
Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park
Located in the heart of London, Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park is the ultimate Christmas destination. From fairground rides to ice skating to Christmas markets, this festival has every holiday activity you’ve been looking for. Plus, the decorations are beautiful!
Oblix at The Shard
Oblix has some of the best views in London. I recommend coming here to watch the sunset on the London skyline with a Nedi Martini! After cocktails, you can venture to one of the many restaurants in the Shard, such as Hutong and Aqua Shard.
Camden Market
Camden Market is a year-round market that is transformed during the holidays. Spend the afternoon browsing the markets, many food stalls, and vendors. There are many new and seasonal vendors during the holidays!
