Nedi’s Hamptons Restaurant Guide
If you need a break from the city during the hot summer months, I definitely recommend making your way to the Hamptons for a long weekend. This stunning place is the perfect summer getaway with incredible beaches, restaurants and live music! I absolutely love spending time with my friends in the Hamptons and try to go as often as I can. It is known for its incredible dining, so I am sharing a few of my favorite spots out there – you can’t go wrong with any!
Le Bilboquet – This renown French bistro is one of my favorite spots on the water in Sag Harbor! The views are stunning and they make incredible Nedi Martinis! They are known for the famous cajun chicken but I also recommend the tuna tartare, lentil salad, and grilled branzino.
Dopo La Spiaggia – This upscale Italian restaurant has locations in both East Hampton and Sag Harbor. It is absolutely stunning! Request to sit outside on the patio – it is so charming and lovely during summer! All of their dishes are incredible but I especially love the tritata salad, spicy tuna tartare and poached sea bass.
Tutto il Giorno – Tutto il Giorno has a location in South Hampton and Sag Harbor and they are both gorgeous! This trendy Italian spot is perfect for both a date night and a girls night out. Definitely order the arugula artichoke salad, eggplant parmigiana, rigatoni and catch of the day which is baked in parchment paper and very tasty.
Crow’s Nest – This rustic spot in Montauk serves New American dishes that are made with seasonal and organic ingredients. This place is perfect for a group because the menu has great variety that will definitely please your whole party. I love the spiced roasted cauliflower, lobster fettuccine, chicken kebabs, and the Moroccan style halibut.
Duryea’s Lobster Deck – Montauk is known for its beautiful restaurants on the water and Duryea’s is one of the best. Come here for a late lunch or early dinner to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the water and deliciously fresh seafood. I recommend ordering the steamed mussels, lobster cobb salad, tuna tartare and kumamoto oysters!
Wolffer Estate – Wolffer Estate is a beautiful vineyard in Sagaponack. I recommend coming to this beautiful vineyard on Sunday’s to enjoy the live music, delicious wine and light bites. Definitely try one (or more) of their incredible roses while sharing a cheese plate! It is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for photos!
Scarpetta – Scarpetta at Gurney’s is the seaside version of this classic NYC Italian spot. Their seasonal menus and fresh seafood are amazing – I definitely recommend sitting outside or getting a table by the window to enjoy the ocean view. I love the yellowtail crudo, charred octopus, roasted cauliflower, seared scallops and the classic spaghetti with tomato and basil.
Surf Lodge – Surf Lodge in Montauk is another spot you must stop by when you go to the Hampton’s. This waterside deck is known for its amazing food, live music and lively atmosphere! On Saturday afternoons, it turns into a party with bottle service. You can either go to the restaurant and enjoy the food or just go for drinks and dancing! Some of my favorite dishes are the sun-dried tomato hummus, marinated roasted beets, roasted cauliflower and the pan seared scallops!
Rosie’s Amagansett – If you are looking for fresh, farm-to-table dishes, Rosie’s in Amagansett is the ideal place. The casual, yet sophisticated atmosphere is perfect for any time of day! Their roasted beet carpaccio and market fish are my favorite.
Sant Ambroeus – Another classic spot, Sant Ambroeus is yet one more outstanding Italian restaurant in Southampton. The outside seating is beautiful and a great option for a romantic date night. Try their baked eggplant, thinly sliced artichoke salad, and linguine alle vongole.
Il Mulino – Il Mulino is another classic Italian restaurant that you can’t go wrong with! Although it has several other locations, this one is just as great as the others. I recommend ordering the tuna carpaccio, the linguini di mare and the branzino.
Almond Restaurant – Almond is a cute French bistro located in Bridgehampton. It is known for its seasonal, local and artisan menu which is made up of classic French dishes. Some of my favorites include the steamed mussels, the broccolini and mushrooms and the pan roasted fluke.
Pierre’s – Pierre’s is another charming Fench bistro in Bridgehampton with a bakery in the front. Their local seafood is very fresh and well-prepared and they also offer a prix-fixe menu. I recommend trying the tuna tartare, the sautéed shrimp, steamed mussels, and the sea bass with asparagus. Must try Pierres famous pear martini!
Lulu Kitchen & Bar – Lulu’s is a great spot in Sag Harbor that offers a menu focused on local products. They are always very busy so I highly recommend making a reservation! They are known for their wood-fired dishes which are unique and delicious. Some must tries include the grilled heirloom cauliflower, wood-fire grilled leek, grilled baby artichoke hearts and the whole grilled branzino.
Sunset Beach – We have been coming to this classic spot on Shelter Island since we were 16 and I absolutely love it here! It is beautiful on the water and the atmosphere is incredible during the summer. I love sharing the whole artichoke and farm feta, baby kale salad, charred sweet potato and the grilled branzino.
Moby’s – this lively Italian spot in East Hampton has a stunning water view and is perfect for a sunset dinner. Their menu changes seasonally and their ingredients are mostly locally sourced from local farms and fishermen. I recommend the Tuscan kale salad, fluke crudo, and the spaghettini with shrimp and cherry tomatoes.
Bobby Van’s – Bobby Van’s is a classic, upscale steakhouse in Bridgehampton and it is a great option if you need a break from Italian and French restaurants. Some of my favorites are the organic salmon, ahi tuna, filet mignon and the grilled Spanish octopus.
Round Swamp Farm – Round Swamp Farm is a local market, farm stand, bakery and fish market. They have locations in East Hampton, Bridgehampton and Montauk. You can find many tasty and healthy prepared food options, so this spot is great to pick up lunch on the go. Try the quinoa salad with roasted salmon, asparagus salad, Greek salad, the shrimp skewers, meatballs. P.S. – their granola is to die for!
Docker’s Waterside – If you enjoy live music by the water, Docker’s in West Hampton is a great option! Come here for dinner and drinks during sunset and enjoy their delicious seafood. The buffalo mozzarella salad, the lump crab cake and the pan-seared sea scallops are my favorites.
